Double bass, vocals

Holds down the bottom end and co-wrote one of the album’s two originals.

Mark Elton is one of Melbourne’s leading double bassists, with around thirty years on stage and in the studio. He has played with The Hoodangers and Flap!, doubles on bass, tuba and cornet in the silent-film ensemble Blue Grassy Knoll, and recorded All in the One Room with singer Julie O’Hara. He has worked with Leroy Jones and Rebecca Kilgore from the US, and with James Morrison, Bob Barnard and CW Stoneking at home. In SwingRocket he holds down the bottom end, sings “The Tennessee Waltz” and co-wrote “The Hotline Stomp”.
